Introducing: Valley Nights

Following the success of our Chukka Nights Water Polo Programme, a parent and sports team collaborative effort that ran over Term 4 and Term 1 and raised an incredible R75,000 towards the Turn Up The Temp Pool Fund, we are excited to introduce Valley Nights.

Valley Nights: Soccer, Netball, Rugby and Hockey

Valley Nights is a fun and exciting sporting initiative for our U10 to U13 players, taking place on Tuesday evenings during Terms 2 and 3 at SVPS.

Running on a rotational basis, Valley Nights gives players the opportunity to enjoy a different sporting code each week in a social, energetic and community-driven environment.

Event Details

When: Tuesday evenings in Terms 2 and 3
Time: 18:00 to 19:30
Where: SVPS
Cost: R75 per player, per night
Bookings: Tickets will be available via the online store

Sports Rotation

Valley Nights will run on rotation with each sport being played ever third week:

• Soccer – mixed gender
• Rugby and Netball – not mixed gender
• Boys and Girls Hockey – mixed gender

Age Groups

• Junior: U10 and U11
• Senior: U12 and U13

What to Expect

Each session will follow our well-loved Chukka Nights format, including:

• A random drafting system, with new teams each week
• 3 x 15-minute games
• A fun, vibrant and social sporting atmosphere

To encourage leadership and confidence, Team Chiefs will rotate weekly, giving players the opportunity to develop and practise their leadership skills.

The Spirit of Valley Nights

Valley Nights is designed to be fun, developmental and inclusive.

While the focus remains on building core skills, these evenings are ultimately about learning, growth, teamwork, enjoyment and building a positive sporting culture. Valley Nights aims to create an environment where players can develop their confidence, embrace healthy competition and enjoy sport in a supportive space.

Parents are warmly invited to join in the evening’s festivities. Enjoy a burger, cheer from the stands and be part of the fun atmosphere that makes these evenings so special.

A kind reminder that these evenings are centred around development, teamwork and enjoyment. Our referees are human, and so are our children. We ask that all support from the sidelines remains positive, respectful and encouraging throughout the evening.

Our famous Chukka Nights burgers will be available for purchase on a pre-order basis only when booking tickets online.

Booking Information

Please note the following:

• Players must sign up and purchase tickets via the online store
• Tickets are limited to 32 Junior players and 32 Senior players per night
• Bookings are on a first come, first served basis

Supporting a Greater Cause

All proceeds from Valley Nights will go towards fundraising initiatives, with the specific cause for each sporting code communicated in due course.
