APPLICATIONS
- All previous applications for 2024 will remain on our waiting list for the duration of 2024. Should a place become available, we will contact the applicant. Applications will not be rolled over at the end of a year.
- All 2025 applicants must apply on the WCED website. For applications click here.
- 2025 applications will open for Grade 1 from 11 March 2024 – 12 April 2024
- Grade R: 1 August – 16 August (Gr 2 – 7 Transfers as well)

THE FOLLOWING APPLICATION PROCESS WILL BE APPLICABLE FOR SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZENS:
- Copy of the learner’s unabridged birth certificate
- Copy of learner’s clinic card
- Copy of both parents’ ID documents
- Proof of residential address (utility bill or lease agreement only)
- Copy of most recent school report
FOR NON-SA CITIZENS
- Requirements of all “enabling documents” (such as temporary residence visa, permanent residence permit, asylum seekers permit etc) to be submitted with the application
- Documents to accompany the application. Copy of the birth certificate issued by the country of origin must be attached
- Proof of immunization
- Unabridged birth certificate
- Copies of both parents’ passports
- Proof of residential address (utility bill or lease agreement only)

STEP 1
Complete your WCED application form online at
https://wcedonline.westerncape.gov.za/admissions
Applications for Grade R for 2025 will open on 1 August 2024 and close on 16 August 2024.
Applications for Grade 1 for 2025 will open on 11 March 2024 and close on 12 April 2024.
All applications MUST be completed online only through the WCED website (link above).

ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE MADE ONLINE ON THE WCED WEBSITE.
Please complete all sections.
- Incomplete and illegible documentation will not be processed.
- Not all candidates can be placed as we receive more applications than we can accommodate.
- Placement will be according to the School’s Admission Policy.
- The applicant must also apply to the school which is nearest to their place of residence.
- Grade 1 placement will be notified by the end of May of the year prior to admission.
- Grade R and 2 – 7 will be notified by mid September of the year prior to admission.
