Sun Valley Primary School Achieves 'Outstanding' Rating from Schools Evaluation Authority (SEA)
We are delighted to announce that Sun Valley Primary School has received an Outstanding overall performance rating from the Schools Evaluation Authority (SEA). This prestigious evaluation was conducted on July 18-19, 2024, and reflects our deep-seated commitment to academic rigour and a holistic educational framework.
The SEA’s report is a testament to the dedication of our entire school community: our Principal, Mrs. C.E. Thompson; our SMT; our exceptional teaching and support staff; our dedicated School Governing Body (SGB); our supportive parents; and, of course, our hardworking learners.
A Comprehensive Evaluation of Excellence
The SEA’s evaluation was a thorough two-day process conducted by a team of five evaluators. They observed 33 lessons, spent over 18 hours in classrooms, and engaged with learners, staff, and parents to evaluate every aspect of school life.

Highlights from the Report
The SEA report highlights numerous strengths that define the Sun Valley Primary School experience:
Academics: Our learners demonstrated outstanding achievement in both Language and Mathematics.
A Holistic Framework: The report praised our commitment to a holistic educational framework that nurtures the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of our learners. Our extracurricular program received an “Outstanding” rating, with an impressive 90% participation rate among our student body.
Nurturing Environment: The report found that behaviour and safety are outstanding at our school. Almost all parents reported that their children feel a strong sense of safety and happiness at school. Learners and staff alike feel safe and supported, which fosters a positive and inclusive ethos.
Visionary Leadership: The evaluation commended our Principal, Mrs. C.E. Thompson, as a strong, directive visionary whose leadership is outstanding. The SMT’s dedication to innovation and excellence, as well as their focus on staff wellness and collaborative improvement, was also highlighted as a key strength.
