GAP PROGRAMME
Sun Valley Primary School has a Teaching Academy that is strongly linked to the school
THIS WILL BE ACHIEVED BY:
Students completing a Learnership/ Internship while completing a B Ed through UNISA
Students taking a GAP Year as Teacher assistants
Adult education – Night School for Parents
Room Parent Training
Camp Training and Management
Sports – developing holistic approach
Professional Development for Teachers
Learnership Students are referred to as GAP Students – Guided Approach to Pedagogy
- All GAP (Guided Approach to Pedagogy) students attend school daily.
- The GAP students are required to submit their Portfolio to the Department Head who mans the Teaching Academy.
- GAP students are assessed by the Department Head with effect to their classroom involvement and performance.
