Counsellor

Children who are under stress are referred to our School Counsellor, Miss Debbie-Jayne Viljoen, by their teacher or teacher support team.

Children are also able to write to Ms. Viljoen if they are worried or sad - she will then make sure she schedules an appointment with them.  There is a special box in the main passage for these letters to be deposited info. Parents are also welcome to make an appointment to see her.

Ms. Viljoen endeavours to establish a relationship of trust wherein the children can feel free to tell her about their concerns.  Together, they discuss coping mechanisms and practical interventions.

There is ongoing support and follow up for all our children with emotional and family concerns.
